If you haven’t already, PLEASE check out the May 2008 edition of “Cosmopolitan” magazine. The article details three real life stories of young women who found suicide a reality; one of which was Suzy Gonzales. In her story, Suzy’s parents and friends help piece together her struggle with depression and her involvement with online suicide “support” groups. Another story tells of a young woman who attempted suicide, and then called 9-1-1 for help. Luckily, she lives to tell her own story today, and it is highlighted in the article. Although the magazine does not mention H.R. 940 or Suzy’s Law, we hope enough interest will be sparked to lead people to learn more. One of our main goals here at Suzy’s Law is to spread the word about our efforts, and we would like to thank “Cosmopolitan” magazine for helping us out. Grab your copy today!

  1. Get the facts

H.R. 940 will make it a crime to use the Internet to help someone commit suicide. We think this is a good bill, and we want it to become law. Click here to learn more.

  2. Take action

Call or write your Representative to urge him or her to co-sponsor H.R. 940. Click here to find out how.
